Emergency Storm Kits From Disaster Recovery Supply

More frequent and powerful hurricanes from the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico have produced one of the most dangerous and costliest storm eras in modern history. Over the years, population increases along the coastal and wetlands areas have added making these disasters the most deadliest and costliest in history. In addition, the storms are not only lasting longer, but are traveling more inland than ever before. This creates additional problems as people evacuating from one area end up traveling right into more trouble. And perhaps where you can’t get food and water. People are evacuating more than ever before and you can’t help but notice it.You can gain a tremendous advantage in any evacuation by being prepared before hand. Ready-made disaster kits are designed to have a long shelf life, so purchasing one now can give you peace of mind as you never know when you (if ever) might need it. It’s like health insurance; you make the premium payments and hope you stay healthy. But should the unexpected happen, you are very happy you made all those premium payments. When it comes to you and your family’s health and well being, cost should never be an object.

Disaster Recovery Supply offers many various size emergency readiness kits available ranging from a one-person fanny pack to larger size family kits as well as school, offices, businesses and other municipals.

Keep this in mind………It’s always better to be five years early than five minutes too late.

Hurricane Warnings Becoming More Disastrous in 2008

hurricane.jpgPlanning and simple preparation can prevent the unexpected from becoming more disastrous. Hurricanes are becoming much stronger because of global warming, so says a new study in the current edition of the journal Nature. As seas warm, open waters have more energy to turn tropical storms into higher category hurricanes. Just look at the recent back-to-back hurricanes in the southeastern United States. No sooner than you evacuate one when you may face starting over. For a small cost, anyone can be prepared in advance and be ready to just jump in the car and go. And not having to run around to various stores for emergency item. Just log on to Disaster Recovery Supply and fill your needs ahead of time.

Cash Is King! Are We Taking Today’s Electronic Era For Granted?

money.jpgYes, we live in the electronic age. From the time we wake up until we go to bed, almost every move we make involves electricity and electronics. We get up in the morning to a nice warm house, turn on the lights and coffee maker. We get the morning paper which was just printed a few hours ago. Then we’re off to a nice warm shower, blow our hair dry and off into the world for the day. If we need gas for our vehicle, a stop at the pumps with our credit card. If we stop at the store or a restaurant, we might use another credit card. A payday might mean a stop at our bank for a deposit. At the start of the week, or any day for that matter, we start writing checks to pay our bills. And it goes on and on. (Disaster Recovery Supply is starting to think ahead).

Now look at this brief scenario which happened recently. Starbucks is based in Seattle, WA which experienced a brief earthquake. This temporarily disrupted their computer server. All Starbuck locations are tied in directly to this main server and could not sell a cup of coffee anywhere because they could not take credit cards or cash because the registers wouldn’t open.

Now picture this on a global basis. Our world is surrounded by thousands of communication satellites which (unfortunately) govern our world. What “if” something disrupted their functions like sunspots, an errant meteor, some type of terror activity, etc. What “if” our communication connection were shut down without a remedy.

Now imagine waking up in the morning. The lights won’t go on. Coffee Maker won’t work. Refrigerator contents are spoiling. A cold shower. Can’t get gas because pumps won’t run. Can’t use a credit card anywhere because ATM’s, banks, stores are helpless without electricity which rely on electronics to operate. Stores may have supplies for a while, but won’t sell them to you unless you have cold cash. And you will need to stock up all you can before the next guy gets it because the store can’t restock as trucks won’t operate. And you won’t be able to call anybody because phones won’t work. No text messages!!

Credit cards and checks will be of no use and cash will be king. Forget about the value of our dollar compared with the Euro. The stock market will be gone! Cash will be cash…..no matter! With cash, you may be able to do all kinds of things you never thought of previously. You might be wise to start hoarding cash, and not in a safe deposit box. Without electricity, you won’t be able to get at it. Find a good and safe hiding place and keep it a secret. And make sure you have a bicycle!

Again, it’s always best to be prepared ahead of time for any type of event. Keep several disaster kits handy at all times for any kind of emergency. Remember, it’s best to be five years early than five minutes too late!

Mild Recession Is A Hoax! Who Are They Trying To Kid!

worldfoodcrisis6-nobutton.jpgWhile the middle class and above may cope with the rising cost of gasoline, most Americans can’t. Gasoline is a must-have commodity and we have to have it in order to buy the staples we need to live. If we can’t afford to drive out of our driveways, what are our options. We are being forced to cut back on the things we previously enjoyed as Americans. Things such as cable TV, movies, restaurants, cell phones, sporting events, visiting distant relatives and others. Who ever heard of $3-4 dollar milk shakes at McDonald’s, Burger King, etc. Eggs at $3-4/dozen. Milk at $4-5/gallon. There is no mild recession and we are in for some real tough times. Now there are more reasons for people to become aware of disaster recovery kits when we can no longer drive down the street.

And it gets worse! The world hunger crisis is all over the news this week. In just three years, the price of staple foods like wheat, corn and rice has almost doubled. The soaring cost of staple foods and the resulting hunger crisis has caused riots from Haiti to Bangladesh, threatens hundreds of thousands of people with starvation and could push one hundred million more people deeper into poverty. This is worse than hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, etc. At least, you have a chance for survival with disaster recovery supplies.
